Hey there! I’m Farisya Azwar Binti Ridzuan, or just Risya for short . I’m 18, born and raised in Kuala Lumpur. On the 17th of June 2019, I stepped foot onto UiTM’s Foundation Center in Dengkil, ready to begin a new chapter in my life as a TESL student. If you’d like some firsthand insight about how my days have been ever since, you’ve come to the right place!

I am a part-time writer for The Star’s Newspaper-In-Education section (have been since I was 16, even had the privilege of interning at Menara Star as an assistant to the senior journalists for a month back in 2017)

My ultimate favourite book is The Little Prince- it shaped me to be the person I am today, no joke

I have a soft spot for reptiles- they’re the best kind of animals in my opinion
